They Always Said I Had A Face For Radio

Today, I had to opportunity to talk with a local radio station about Made New and Rebuild.  I am so thankful for the opportunity to get the word out about our little project.  I am also floored by the support that we have received from people in the community, not just how quickly you have supported it, but by the pure amount of the support.  It is something that I could never do on my own, and I am so thankful that people are getting behind what is happening.    

I am also so amazed that someone who grew up as the shy girl is now the person getting to do interviews and teach classes.  It is something that only God could do, because I couldn't do any of it on my own, and I don't take that for granted at all.

Welcome to the official blog for our new company, Made New.  

We operate out of Huntington, WV.  I have so much love for this small town, and there are so many people who live here who need a hope and they need love.  My hope is that by teaching them how to create with their hands, they can find something they enjoy and are good at, which they can use to earn extra income; but that they can also discover something that gives them meaning and a sense of purpose.  I am a firm believer in the idea that working with your hands is healing for the spirit, and I hope to help people discover that.  I know that I am in no way the perfect person to do something like this, but no one is.  I have so many failings, and I am broken in so many ways.  However, I am looking forward to seeing just how God will use what I have broken to make a small difference in the lives of people and in the community that I love so much.  I feel like I have this huge dream that is way bigger than anything I could ever do on my own, but I can't wait to see how it all unfolds.  This undertaking is completely and totally a God thing and I am just thankful that He is using me for this amazing dream.
